Specialty Food Company from Colorado Expands Products and Enters National Markets
Evergreen, CO March 9, 2004--Total Harvest, a local specialty food company in Evergreen, CO has released their new salsa, and they've named it "Salso." A natural product, "Salso" is an olive-based salsa, with no preservatives added or chemicals. Jan Hawks Simpson, Founder and President of Total Harvest developed this new product after the company's premiere product, "Olive Harvest," was picked up by national food chains and requests began to increase for additional product offerings.
"Olive Harvest" and "Salso" can be found in local stores including Whole Foods Markets, Vitamin Cottage, Tony's Meats and Specialty Foods, and throughout Colorado in the natural food section of King Soopers. Beginning in February, 2004, Tony's Meats and Specialty Foods added a spicy muffaletta sandwich to their sandwich menu to feature Total Harvest products.
"Olive Harvest" is an olive tapenade with a blend of kalamata, green and ripe olives with vegetables and spices, steeped in extra virgin olive oil for enhanced flavor. "Salso" is an olive salsa that uses the tag line "where Mexico meets the Mediterranean."
At a recent gathering of natural food distributors, Total Harvest co-owner Randy Simpson commented, "We knew that we had great products, so we looked for the right opportunity to share a Colorado product with the rest of the world. Through hands-on marketing efforts and working closely with local and regional distributors, we have found the perfect combination to introduce these new products to markets nationwide."
Total Harvest is currently negotiating to place these new products on grocery shelves in California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona and other western states.
